Clarke has been a member since 1975 and has played many diverse roles such as both Nanki-Poo and Pooh-Bah in The Mikado, both Strephon and Mountararat, in Iolanthe, both Marco and Giuseppe in The Gondoliers, and two of his favourites, Dick Deadeye in H.M.S. Pinafore and Wilfred the Jailer in Yeomen of the Guard. His singing has included variety, choral work, and Gilbert & Sullivan. Clarke, a native Torontonian, has sung with the East York Collegiate Glee Club, the Lyric Operetta Society, the York Minstrels, St. Aidan's Choir and St. Aidan's Music Club.
