HEATHER MACKIE "Dame Carruthers" |

 Heather has just started her seventh season performing with The Scarborough Gilbert & Sullivan Society. She has played the following leads: The Duchess of Plaza-Toro in The Gondoliers, Dame Hannah in Ruddigore, Cousin Hebe in HMS Pinafore and Mrs. Partlett in The Sorcerer, and last year she enjoyed portraying a Police "Person" in The Pirates Of Penzance.Performing with this group has been a change of pace for Heather since her previous musical experience has been singing with a number of choirs. She enjoyed seven years as a member of the Bach Children's Chorus followed by three years with the Bach Chamber Youth Chorus. The high point of her five years with the Scarborough Schools' Youth Choir occurred one summer when the choir toured and sang in Germany and Austria. When not singing, Heather is a legal assistant with a law firm in downtown Toronto. |
